“Virtute Siderum Tenus: with valour towards the stars.”

This is the motto displayed on the emblem of the Italian Air Force, perfectly embodying the courage and sacrifice of Italian airmen and airwomen. These words will provide the guiding theme for an exclusive visit to Ghedi Military Air Base and the 6th Wing “Red Devils”, where preparation, discipline, technology and teamwork are essential to the success of every mission.

During the session, Colonel Gianmarco Di Loreto, Commander of the 6th Wing, will share his experience leading the Base’s flight operations and managing men and women called upon to operate in complex, high-pressure environments. His first-hand account will translate the experience of the Italian Air Force into tangible lessons in leadership, responsibility and trust.

During this session, participants will have the opportunity to:

• explore the principles that guide decision-making in highly complex and high-pressure environments
• understand how mutual trust, clearly defined roles and shared responsibility contribute to team cohesion
• reflect on the importance of preparation, discipline and courage in the exercise of leadership
• observe the technological and operational evolution of the Italian Air Force by comparing the Tornado, developed in the 1970s, with today’s F-35, as well as by visiting the Base’s museum area.
